Macau gives tourists an impression of luxury. However, you will find the city’s unique features if you appreciate it carefully. It’s indeed a fascinating mix of sights, flavours and diverse cultures. Time to go for a perfect Macau trip!
The Historic Centre of Macau
The Historic Centre of Macao is the oldest, largest, most wellpreserved and most concentrated east-meets-west cultural heritage of Macau a former Portuguese colony. It includes China’s oldest churches, temples, fortresses, Chinese-style mansions and so on. It is great to spend a day visiting this place and immerse oneself in another side of Macau.
Located on the Macau Peninsula, The Historic Centre of Macao consists of a group of 22 principal buildings and 8 public spaces. The Ruins of St. Paul’s are arguably Macau’s most famous landmark. The original Chruch of Mater Dei was destroyed by fire in 1835, leaving only the beautiful Baroque-style granite façade with Chinese elements. The structure becomes an acclaimed attraction because of its unique cultural blending. Located right next to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, the Na Tcha Temple also reflects the cultural exchange between East and West. The temple is a simple, single chamber building with green brick walls and a flush-gable roof. Right next to the Temple, the Section of the Old City Walls, built as early as 1569, is a remnant of an early Portuguese tradition of constructing defensive walls around their port settlements. Built on top of Mount Hill, Mount Fortress, one of the oldest existing fortresses in China, was the city’s principal military defence structure. It overlooks the Macau Peninsula as it protected the city from invasions.

Legend Heroes Park
In recent years, virtual reality (VR) games have been gaining popularity worldwide, and Macau is no exception. Opening in 2019, “Legend Heroes Park” located in Studio City is a thrilling 2-floor tech-based entertainment park that combines cutting-edge virtual technology with the physical world for an unparalleled immersive experience. Here you will find Virtual & Augmented Reality, Holograms, Motion Tracking Projection Mapping and Sportainment with more than 100 games.
You can try exciting extreme sports with the glasses and devices, such as a thrilling height drop experience, escaping zombies with friends in the virtual world, or a fun challenge of car racing. One of the hard-core VR games is the VR Bumper Car – players need to attack opponents’ cars while avoiding the collision within 5 minutes. The most exciting game is Robot VR. Sitting on the 360-degree rotatin motion chairs, players will transform into robot pilots experiencing an out-of-this-world G-Force adventure by shooting up, falling from 7 m, hanging upside down and spinning 360 degrees. In addition, the venue introduces a Korean-style bowling club with luminous bowling alleys and virtual concerts of K-pop stars.
Wynn Palace Skycab
Most people have ridden cable cars, but have you ever ridden them in a hotel? The SkyCabs at Wynn Palace is a one-of-a-kind attraction ensuring every guest will enjoy a pristine look of the hotel as the air-conditioned transport climbs into the sky. Just like Wynn Macau, Wynn Palace has the Performance Lake which covers an area of 8 acres (approximately 32,374 sq.m.) with a musical fountain show, employing more than 1,000 water jets shooting water into the air that can reach a height of nearly 20 floors. The cable car goes in a circle around the lake and lifts you 28 m into the sky, hence you can catch the amazing choreographed display of water, music and light at Performance Lake during your ride. The graceful and enchanting water dance has become the centerpiece not only of Wynn Palace, but also of Macau itself.
