As one of the three major festivals of the year, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival celebrated notably by the Chinese. The festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar in which moon cakes are traditionally eaten. However, the celebration customs of Vietnamese are slightly different as it is a festival for children. During the festival, children will walk on streets with their lanterns or play with their friends. Other activities include dragon boat races and water puppet shows.
